The Stroup Family: Making an Impact on MCC’s Electrical Division

The Stroup Family: Making an Impact on  MCC's Electrical Division

It's no secret that Multi-Craft Contractors has been around for a long time—but do you know why?

It's because of our employees. We’d like to introduce you to an MCC family that has made a huge impact on our organization for many years - The Stroup family. And we're even more proud to have three generations of the Stroup family working alongside us as part of our Industrial Electrical Division.

Getting their Start with MCC

In the early 2000s, Charles Stroup was on his way back to Joplin from Little Rock when he stopped at a gas station in Springdale, Arkansas. He picked up the local paper and saw an ad for Multi-Craft. He had driven by the property and seen all the crane booms reaching into the air, so he thought that we must be busy. He told his sons about MCC and that helped get their attention and interest in our company.

Originally from Missouri, Charles and his sons, John, Bob, and Andy Stroup joined MCC in the early 2000s in MCC’s Arkansas location through a temp agency to help with electrical projects. Since then, they've become permanent members of the MCC team!

More About this Dynamic Family Team…

After getting started in our Arkansas location, the Stroups headed back to their home state of Missouri in the early half of the 2000s to help expand MCC's electrical services in that region.

Then in 2004, during the Afghanistan War, Charles Stroup went to help as an Electrical contractor to help the US's efforts. After that, he returned to MCC and "retired" a short time later. Charles worked for about 12 years before retiring for 3 to 4 years. After a while, Charles realized he wanted to come out of retirement, and we here at MCC were more than thrilled to welcome him back!

The Stroups are no strangers to working hard. Over the years you've most likely seen Charles and his sons, John, Bob, and Andy working on some of MCC's biggest commercial and industrial electrical projects. Although John has retired his impact on MCC’s electrical division is still very much appreciated. Now there is now a new family member on board…Nick Stroup has joined MCC as an apprentice electrician, learning under the tutelage of his family to become the next generation of electricians.

Making an Impact as a Family

It's no secret that the Stroup family has been involved with MCC for a long time, so many of their family members have made a huge impact on MCC's electrical division such as John’s son Kory Stroup who worked for us for a short time around a year and moved on to pursue another career. Also, Andy’s son Ethan Stroup worked for MCC for a couple of years. Both worked for MCC from 2015 to 2017 and helped with the ScoF project at Kraft.

Next Generation of MCC Electricians

We are extremely excited to have Nick join the MCC team! Nick is learning all about the electrical trade just like his uncles, dad, and granddad before him.

Our Electrical Apprentice Program is designed to help craft a new generation of electricians. We are proud to hear that Nick had always wanted to work for MCC since the age of 9, and that's exactly what he did. After high school graduation, he joined our Electrical apprenticeship program to start his career as the next generation in the Stroup family as an Electrician.

A Legacy of Service and a Thriving Work Ethic

The Stroup family has been a staple of the MCC Electrical Division for years. Charles, John, Bob, and Andy Stroup are all veterans of the trade. They've spent their careers working hard to make sure that every project they take on is done right, and they're always ready to lend a hand to newer employees who may need some help.

Charles has been a mentor to many electricians in his time at MCC. He takes time to meet new people and share his knowledge with them, as well as share his work ethic with those who have just entered the field. Charles has instilled these values in each of his sons - John, Bob, and Andy - grandsons; Kory, and Ethan - and also his grandson Nick, (in his new apprenticeship role), so that they can carry on this legacy in their own right.

We’re So Proud of the Stroup Family

We love having such a talented family on board, who are excited about the future of our company and what we can accomplish together. Thank you, Stroup Family, for being an important part of MCC’s Electrical Division - and outstanding Multi-Craft Contractors Team members! We appreciate your dedication to our company and the quality work you provide each day.

We are looking forward to many more years of working with all of you!
